Swing dance classes schedule

Here's an overview of the Easy Swing classes in Belgium. For further information on class' content, see the section called dance class. New sessions are available regularly; it is possible to start your learning of swing dances throughout the year through daily classes and workshops. Also available with Easy Swing: private lessons alone or in couple, as well as mini group lessons.


New schedule for classes starting in February 2017

Easy Swing offers many dance classes in various locations in Brussels and Liège, including La Tricoterie (Saint-Gilles), La Tentation (de Brouckère), Fred Academy (Madou), Novanoïs (Schaerbeek) and the Centre Sportif de La Woluwe (Woluwe St-Lambert), Karaskobar (Liège). Our classes range from beginners levels to advanced levels.

Here's the schedule for the new session of classes starting February 6, until end of June.

 

Description of levels:

Lindy Hop (couple dance):

  • Discover 1 (new session) - You’ve never danced lindy hop before. You've followed one or several initiation workshops. This level is for you!
  • Discovery 2 - You’ve been diligently following our weekly classes in the « Discovery » level this past semester. This class is for you! The content of classes will pick up where you’ve left off, after 5 months. New to Easy Swing? In this case you need to have been diligently following classes for at least 6 months on a regular basis. 
  • Edison - Have you been diligently following our weekly « Edison » level weekly classes this past semester? Then you need to register again in this level! It will be the continuation of what you have been seeing in class this past semester, since each level spreads out over one year. New to Easy Swing? In this case you’ll need to have followed one year of weekly classes on a regular basis. This level is also for students who have been dancing since longer, but without taking weekly classes and who therefore don't feel entirely comfortable with the basics.
  • Roseland - Have you been diligently following our « Roseland » level weekly classes this past semester? Then you need to register again in this level! It will be the continuation of what you have been seeing in class this past semester, since each level spreads out over one year. New to Easy Swing? In this case you’ll need to have assiduously followed 1 to 2 years of weekly classes and practice social dancing in the evenings. 
  • Renaissance - Have you been diligently following our « Renaissance » level weekly classes this past semester? Then you need to register again in this level! It will be the continuation of what you have been seeing in class this past semester, since each level spreads out over one year. New to Easy Swing? In this case you’ll need to have assiduously followed at least 2 years of classes, feel comfortable on different tempos (slow-medium-fast) and regularly practice social dancing in the evenings. 
  • Capitol - Have you been diligently following our « Capitol » level weekly classes this past semester? Then you need to register again in this level! It will be the continuation of what you have been seeing in class this past semester, since each level spreads out over one year. New to Easy Swing? In this case you’ll need to have been dancing on a regular basis since at least 3 years, feel comfortable on various tempos, social dance a lot and attend workshops. 

* For all levels: Teachers reserve the right to request a student to change level if the teacher thinks the level for which he/she signed up for is unsuitable.

Charleston / Jazz Roots / Blues (solo dance):

  • Cotton Club – A class open to anyone who wants to dance solo. Whether you are a beginner or already initiated, you will definitely enjoy this course!
  • Rhythm Club - You have followed 1-2 years of charleston / jazz roots classes on a regular basis and are comfortable dancing on your own. You’re looking for more of a challenge! 
  • Ladies styling / Femininity lab - A class focused on finding your individual femininity and style, through the exploration of various musical and dance styles (Charleston, Blues, Bellydancing, Burlesque, Afrohouse, Twerking).
  • Solo Blues - A class to learn how to move your body to blues music. A good opportunity to find your own, unique style that will enrich your couple dance.
